Unfortunately, rabies kills thousands of people in Africa and Asia each year. Most of the victims are children and the main source of the disease is the domestic dog. The Foundation for Veterinary Aid International (FVAI) along with its partners and generous volunteers such as you hope to eliminate rabies by 2030. What a challenge, right?
It is possible! It will take a lot of effort but we are ready!
-
- We must vaccinate the maximum number of dogs, a minimum of 70% of the canine population, if we hope to eradicate rabies.
-
- We must control their number and reduce stray behaviors by targeted and free sterilization clinics.
-
- We must help owners act responsibly and educate children on the body language of dogs in order to decrease the number of bites.
The Foundation for Veterinary Aid International (FVAI) will be returning to the African continent in September. Our massive vaccination and sterilization campaign will begin on September 21 and reach its peak on September 28th during World Rabies Day. We invite you to celebrate this extraordinary day by joining us on our project in Tanzania in September 2019. With your help we will be changing the lives of thousands of humans as well as their animals!
We hope to administer thousands of rabies vaccines during this campaign. Participate in our “One donation of $5 = 100 needles = 100 vaccines against rabies” fundraising effort. You may also sponsor a female dog sterilization for the modest sum of $40. Visit our boutique for more details!
It would be our pleasure to issue a receipt for all donations exceeding $20.00.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts!
