In February 2024, FAVI will return to the mythical island of Zanzibar. Cat lovers, here’s a unique chance to meet these wonderful creatures straight out of a tale of a thousand and one nights!
“Paka” means cat in Swahili. This project will be 100% dedicated to felines. Together with our Tanzanian veterinary friends on the island and Mama Paka Zanzibar, we will once again be helping the local people who look after the community cats on a daily basis. We’ll also be doing TNR (Trap-Neuter-Return) the African way! Our Tanzanian friends are experts in stress-free catching. Are you curious to learn more?
Join our team for an experience like no other! Take advantage of your stay on the island to immerse yourself in Zanzibari culture, snorkel in the Indian Ocean, sail on a “dhow” at sunset and visit a spice farm.
Karibu! Welcome!
Zanzibar is a Tanzanian archipelago off the coast of East Africa. The main town is called Stone Town. It’s a blend of African and Islamic influences, with its many minarets, winding alleys and magnificent carved doors characteristic of this mythical place.
